UPPER-DIVISION STUDENT OPINION SURVEY

The Office of Institutional Research and Academic Planning is responsible for the administration of the Rutgers Upper-Division Student Opinion Survey (UDSOS) to all upper-division students at the university. This survey provides upper-division students the opportunity to speak directly about their experiences at Rutgers. The university will use the information obtained from this survey to assess current levels and kinds of services and to improve efforts at meeting student needs. This survey is the third in a series of surveys that are administered university-wide and used by deans and program chairs to evaluate the undergraduate experience.

Many students completed the first survey in this series - CIRP (Cooperative Institutional Research Program) - when students first enrolled at Rutgers. The second survey, administered in the fall, evaluates students' first-year experience and their transition from high school to college. The Upper-Division Student Opinion Survey evaluates the transistion to upper-division work and the undergraduate assessment effort will be completed with the final survey in the series: the Graduating Student Opinion Survey.

All responses are confidential and no personally identifiable information will be released. While the survey is voluntary, the better the response rate, the more helpful the information will be in providing better services to future Rutgers students. Please take a few moments to fill out the survey.

Upper-Division students who have received a password have the option of completing the Upper-Division Student Opinion Survey on-line via a web application.
