Courses Taught
Participating Instructor Douglass College “Douglass Project Super: Introduction to Scientific Research” course, in which first year women are brought to work on a research project of their design in my laboratory, 2000-present. This provides mentoring for students outside of the normal laboratory course experience for prospective science and engineering majors.
Special Courses Taught
Prof. Castner has taught one section of the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program Colloquium, 01:090:111, during the Fall 2008, 2010 and 2011 semesters.
In addition, Prof. Castner regularly contributes lectures to the graduate NSF-IGERT courses in Biointerfacial Characterization (2-3 lectures during the Fall 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009 semesters in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering 125:583) and in the Materials Science and Engineering Dept. course, "Introduction to Nanoscience" (Fall 2010).
